Food Truck Freak was started in June 2011 to aggregate all the information that Chicago Food Truck Freaks need. Our goals are fourfold:
- Make it easy for Chicagoans to learn about and eat from food trucks.
- Foster a sense of community among fellow Chicago Food Truck Freaks.
- Support the local economy by driving foot traffic to food trucks.
- Give back to the city that has given so much to us.
We try to keep it light-hearted and fun, just like the food truck scene itself. We won’t focus too heavily on legislation (we’ll leave that to the food truck legislation pioneers), but we’ll be among the first to let you know of any related groundbreaking news.
Want to join in the fun?
We need your help to provide the latest and greatest to our community. If you hear about new trucks or legislation changes, let us know! Have an awesome (or horrible) experience with a food truck? Submit a review! There are tons of Chicagoans who want to hear what you have to say.
Lastly, we ask you to help fuel Food Truck Freak by making a donation. This helps keep the site free for the food trucks and ad-free.
Who runs Food Truck Freak?
That would be me, Alex. If you have any questions that are FTF-related, feel free to drop me an e-mail or a tweet!
