6 Upcoming Food Truck Events

There are some signs that summer has truly arrived: restaurant patios open, sun dresses flood the streets, construction projects and/or tourists double your commute time, and food truck events galore! This batch of events will be christening our summer!

Thursday May 17 Food Trucks a Go Go @ 694 Wine & Spirits, 6-9 p.m.Address: 694 N. Milwaukee Ave. 

  • Beaver’s Donuts & Coffee
  • The Slide Ride
  • Haute Sausage
  • Duck N Roll
Pros: Booze, parking, seating, service, event repeats weekly with different trucks
Cons: Not tons of room too mozy


Thursday May 17
Ethyl’s Food Truck Thursdays

Pros: Spacious area to walk around, lots of outdoor seating, parking, more trucks, event repeats weekly with different trucks

Cons: No booze

Saturday May 19 Mash Tun at Maria’s Bar in Bridgeport, 1-5PM

  • La Adelita Truck
  • Samich Box
  • More trucks to be announced
  • Pros:  Lots of parking, unlimited helping to 30 craft brews, close to public transit, live DJ
  • Cons: $40 tickets (though it does come with lots of beer so…)

Saturdays May 19 &26 Maria’s Bar in Bridgeport 6-9 p.m. (update: this event added 5.16 at 8:55 p.m.)

Friday June 1 Kegs for Kidney’s at Fischman’s Liquors, 6-10 p.m.
Address: 4780 North Milwaukee Avenue

  • Trucks in attendance TBA

Pros: Tasting of 17 craft beers (and maybe all you want of them?), parking, all proceeds go to the National Kidney Foundation, UFC fights, trivia, live music

Cons: $35 ticket ($40 at the door)- then again, it goes to charity…

Wednesday June 6  Rock for Kids Food Truck Social, 5:30-8 p.m.
Address: 1540 N. Fremont (across from Joe’s on Weed St.)

  • Weiner Wagon (Chubby Wiener’s truck!)

Pros: 15% of sales will go to Rock for Kids, near a lot of public transit, parking nearby, lots of room to mozy and socialize (we think)

Cons: No booze

Wednesday June 20th Waggin Wednesday’s

  • Food truck lineup TBD
    • Pros: Continues weekly through September 26 with different trucks every week, extremely dog friendly, cheap booze (proceeds go to a different dog charity every week), parking
    • Cons:  Limited outdoor seating, not too close to public transit
